Fugly, isn’t it? I hope to change that this summer with the help of the creative evil genius of Lynsey Peterson. This lady saves chairs. I became aware of Lynsey because she totally rocked being Room Parent of The Kid’s kindergarten class this year. Her emails filled my inbox with snarky [...] I recently added the formspring.me question widget thingy on the blog (see lower lefthand side, thank you) after seeing it on martawrites.com. I liked not only that she had it but uses her blog to answer reader questions. In a word: engagement. The former reporter in me just loves a good question. So here [...] Confession: I love Longmont. Which apparently is really uncool to say in Colorado when Denver and Boulder and all the mountain resorts are so close. But I’ve lived in some pretty dire places, so I know a good place when I see it. And Longmont’s really nice. Sure like any place, it has its seedy [...] I noticed a trend this year with the start of kindergarten: People would ask me if The Kid was my “only” or if I had “just one” child.
